My loft came with one of those indoor AC units. It looks kinda like the type you would see in a hotel room under the window - not the central air unit.

If I am understanding you, with your problem correctly, they are not "flushing the system" they are evacuating, and recharging with freon. For this to be happening every summer, you have a leak in the system, and should call another service
